CycleRx was founded by a group of cycling, NHS health and Wellbeing professionals, who saw a need for improved cycling inspiration, information and infrastructure in our community. Having experienced first-hand how cycling has the potential to change lives and communities, the CycleRx team work to deliver better outcomes through the power of two, three or four human-powered wheels.
We believe cycling is not a lifestyle choice for the few, but a scalable, equitable health intervention that should be accessable to everyone.
CycleRx exists to improve population health by integrating cycling into everyday life as a clinically credible, evidence‑led form of prevention.
Led by health provision and cycling experts, informed by best practice and driven by evidence, we partner with health providers, local authorities and communities to design, deliver, and evaluate cycling interventions that reduce health inequalities, prevent chronic disease, and support sustainable, healthy places. CycleRx is a Community Interest Company.
CycleRx combines a clinically led core team with a curated network of freelance cycling, media, and community specialists. This flexible model enables us to scale delivery, embed local insight, and deploy specialist skills as required, while maintaining consistent clinical oversight, governance, and outcome focus.
